CARAIA participated in the Jamaica Stock Exchange's 18th Regional Investments & Capital Markets Conference as a sponsor. The Conference which was held on January 24, 2023 to January 26, 2023, at the Jamaica Pegasus and online, involved government leaders, business leaders, media, and leading professionals from across the Caribbean, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Our Chairman, Beris Grey was one of the speakers on the panel that examined alternative investments as a solution for Caribbean financial problems.
In his presentation, Grey spoke on the role of CARAIA as a platform through which firms and individuals operating in the alternative investment space can work together to create access, enhance flexibility and increase the speed of capital deployment and also build out the eco-system for alternatives in the Caribbean. He also highlighted one of CARAIA's strategies to see a proliferation of players in the industry.
During the three days of events, several interactions and connections were made possible and we were able to build awareness of the Association and the alternative investment industry.
